DX5’s Signature Digital Transformation Awards Set For November in Diani
Formerly known as the CIO100 Awards, Digital Transformation Awards (dx100 ) are set to take place in Diani, Kwale County from the 23rd to the 25th of November 2022. The awards and symposium will bring together big players in the African technology space, from all around the continent.
Organized by dx5, the event will award different members of the C-suite based on their contribution towards the digital transformation journeys of their respective organizations. The biggest award at the event will be the dx100 CIO of the Year, because the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is at the centre of digital transformation in any company.
In the aftermath of the pandemic, one thing that has changed lives and changed how we look at most things is technology. We have experienced a fast-tracked digital transformation that has seen many organizations use technology to improve their operations and services to clients.
Some organizations have embraced technology more and have seen changes in their operations resulting from the incorporation of technology. These companies that have used technology well to ensure their success are those that will be lined-up to be feted at the Digital Transformation Awards (#dx100awards).
However, it is important to note that even after the rebrand from CIO100 Awards to dx100 Awards, the CIO is still at the centre of digital transformation. This will mean that the biggest award of the night at the dx100 awards will still be the CIO of the Year award.
During last year’s CIO100 Awards, Tom Mboya, the CIO at Unga Group Holdings carried the day taking home the biggest award of the night.
Other awards will include the dx100 CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) of the Year, dx100 CXO (Chief Experience Officer), Digital Influencer of the Year, DX100 Green Edge Award, among others.
It will be a long but fair process to determine the winners. After an initial review by the dx100 team, applications are evaluated and scored by four regional external judges chosen from our panel of more than 20 judges (including industry experts, academics, business executives, and former CIOs).
Dx5’s Chairman and Publisher, Harry Hare, has expressed his excitement in hosting the first ever award ceremony that will fete companies and individuals for their contribution to digital transformation.
“We are excited to be hosting the first ever digital transformation awards in the continent, recognizing the efforts that the CIO and her C-suite colleagues have used technology to transform their organisations, modernized their business models and made their businesses more resilient to shocks such as the pandemic,” Harry Hare noted.
The judging is based on solely on the information submitted on the online applications.
Technology enthusiasts from all over the continent will be keen to attend the symposium where different technology discussions will also be discussed.
